Medical students in the greater Chicago area are partnering with law students, attorneys, physicians, and community members to assist with the writing of expert medical declarations to demand the release of individuals in ICE detention centers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The declaration writing is organized through Chicago People's Rights Collaborative, a citywide collaborative focused on protecting the rights of immigrants and vulnerable populations through medical-legal partnerships.
